Crossing The Jordan

If we would only move straight ahead in faith, the past would be opened for us. But we stand still, waiting for the obstacle to be removed, when we ought to go forward as if there were no obstacles at all...
When the Israelites went to cross the Jordan, it's waters were opened once they set foot in it. Can you imagine having the faith that the waters were going to split and there would be an open path to walk on. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says we are to walk by faith and not by sight. That raised the question in my heart..."How often am I walking by faith?" and that is in all circumstances??? How many times do you think we stand aside and wait for God to part the waters for us...and then we will step forward. I think Satan uses this to keep us quiet...God has not given us a Spirit of fear, and He is greater than he that is in this world. We have the victory through Jesus Christ who gave himself as an sin-offering for us.

I found this poem today...and really like it

Chance has not brought this ill to me;
It's God's own hand, so let it be,
For He sees what I cannot see.
There is a purpose for each pain,
And He one day will make it plain
That earthly loss is heavenly gain.
Like as a piece of tapestry
Viewed from the back appears to be
Only threads tangled hopelessly;
But in the front a picture fair
Rewards the worker for his care,
Proving his skill and patience rare.
You are the Workman, I the frame.
Lord, for the glory of Your Name,
Perfect Your image on the same.
