Snowman Cake & Cupcakes

Our neighbor let us use their shovel as we have lived here for almost 3 years, but still do not own a shovel...shows you how often we get a good snow around here. Well, I decided to make them a Snowman cake. I made it out of a 9*13in cake...just cut out the snowman shape and frosted it.

 

This was the first cake that I've ever tried to decorate artsy. AND as you can tell, I picked a super easy cake to start with. ALL one color~! I use M&M's for the eyes, mouth, and buttons...and a Starburst for the nose. SIDE NOTE - this was the same night that I broke my tooth while eating a Starburst~! I'm looking forward to learning more about decorating cakes. I just found out that Michael's is offering a cake decorating class starting in April...I'm hoping to be able to take that class~!

 

So after I made this cake, the neighbors were not home. I missed them for 3 days in a row. NOW how crazy is that....so the 3rd night, I decided to give it to my other neighbor before taking the dogs on a walk. I step out of the door with cake in hand, and they were gone to. Needless to say, after that walk, the cake was mine & Tim's. It was super yummy and didn't last long :)
